The Hamster Kombat daily cipher is a once-a-day puzzle inside the game's official Telegram mini app. You get a hidden word and type it into the game in Morse code: a quick tap on the screen is a dot, and pressing and holding is a dash. If you enter the whole word correctly, the game credits the day's reward. What the cipher pays and when it resets have changed since 2024. The amount and timer shown in the game are the only ones you can rely on.
Where things stand in October 2026
Third-party guide sites still post a cipher word every day in October 2026. Several of them now mark their own answers as unconfirmed. A guide for 24 October 2026 lists the word SEGA, yet the same page says the answer "hasn't been verified yet". A guide for 10 October 2026 gives TRACK and says that answer "remains unverified". Neither site cites an official announcement. We could not find one from Hamster Kombat either.
In practice:
- Treat any posted word as a suggestion. Your attempt in the game shows whether it is correct.
- Read the reward and the reset countdown on the in-game screen. Published figures go out of date.
- The 24 October guide says, "Hamster Kombat can change its game mechanics, tasks, and rewards without notice."
How to enter the cipher
These steps follow guides published by CoinMarketCap Academy (28 April 2025) and Decrypt (updated 24 February 2025). The game layout may have changed since.
- Open the official bot. Start Hamster Kombat from Telegram through the official bot only. Unofficial "cipher" links are a known scam route (see the safety section below).
- Switch on cipher mode. Tap the Daily Cipher button on the main screen. The screen changes colour when the mode is active. Decrypt described it turning purple, and CoinMarketCap described it as red.
- Tap the letters. A quick tap enters a dot. A press of about two seconds enters a dash, according to CoinMarketCap Academy.
- Pause between letters. CoinMarketCap Academy advises at least 1.5 seconds between letters. If you go faster, the game can read the next letter's taps as part of the current one, which is the most common reason an entry fails.
- Check the result. A correct word credits the reward. If it fails, enter cipher mode again and repeat the word more slowly.
Morse code for every letter
The table uses International Morse code as set out in ITU-R Recommendation M.1677-1, with letters cross-checked against the Morse code reference on Wikipedia. A dot (·) is a short tap and a dash (−) is a hold.

The ITU standard times a dash at three dots, a gap between letters at three dots and a gap between words at seven. The game uses its own timing (a long press and a pause of more than a second), so follow the in-game behaviour and not radio timing.
Here is SEGA, the unconfirmed 24 October answer, as an example: S (· · ·), pause, E (·), pause, G (− − ·), pause, A (· −).

The earlier version of this guide said the cipher pays 1,000,000 coins and resets at 00:00 UTC. We could not confirm either figure for 2026, and the 00:00 UTC reset matches none of the sources above.
Daily cipher vs. daily combo
The daily combo is a separate task. You buy or upgrade that day's three cards. In Decrypt's February 2025 version, each combo pick cost one gamepad and a completed combo paid three gift boxes. The two tasks are independent and reset on the same daily cycle. Coins, gamepads, diamonds and other in-game rewards are not HMSTR tokens.

Season 2 and HamsterVerse
On 18 February 2025, Hamster Kombat announced its second season, HamsterVerse, according to ForkLog. It was originally planned for October 2024, and closed beta testing started in late December 2024. Players can exchange in-game diamonds for rewards across the season's projects, and GameDev Heroes is one of them. The team said all HamsterVerse apps would move to the HMSTR token and announced a new airdrop without giving its size, eligibility rules or date.
At the September 2024 launch, 15 billion HMSTR (15% of supply) was reserved for a later season, as reported by Decrypt and The Block. We found no official confirmation that this second airdrop has been distributed as of 25 October 2026.
The HMSTR token in brief
- Launch: HMSTR began trading on 26 September 2024 on The Open Network (TON), after Season 1 ended (Decrypt; Wikipedia).
- Supply and first airdrop: The total supply is 100 billion HMSTR, and 60 billion (60%) went to the Season 1 airdrop. Players could claim 88.75% of their allocation on day one, and the remaining 11.25% vested over 10 months. Decrypt reported that this split "had not previously been communicated to players".
- Who qualified: About 300 million people had played since 26 March 2024. About 131 million initially qualified, and about 129 million remained eligible after roughly 2.3 million accounts were banned as cheaters (Decrypt).
- How allocations worked: Allocations were based on several measures of participation. In-game coins were not converted directly, and many players were disappointed by the result (Wikipedia).
- Price now: CoinGecko showed HMSTR at about $0.00014 when checked on 25 October 2026, with a market cap of about $9.0 million and 64.375 billion tokens in circulation. That is 98.1% below its all-time high of $0.007222.
Safety
- In July 2024, Kaspersky reported that criminals used fake cash-out promises to steal Telegram accounts from players (Wikipedia). Use only the official bot, and never share your seed phrase or Telegram login codes. Our guide to spotting airdrop scams covers the common patterns.
- Some governments have objected to the game. In Russia, lawmaker Anatoly Aksakov proposed a ban in July 2024 and officials called it a possible pyramid scheme. Officials in Uzbekistan threatened penalties for players who try to convert the currency into cash. Ukraine's Centre for Strategic Communication warned that players' data could reach Russian forces (all per Wikipedia).
