Pyth Network's token PYTH was at $0.0562 at 00:00 UTC on 7 September 2026. That was about 19% above the $0.0471 it traded at a week earlier (31 August) and about 47% above its 8 August level, according to CoinGecko daily data. The gain came in the same week that Pyth published its August 2026 report on 2 September. The report says annual recurring revenue (ARR) passed $10.4 million, and Pyth added 12 new 24/7 indices on the same day. Even after the rise, PYTH was about 95% below its all-time high of $1.20, set on 15 March 2024.

All price figures below come from one data source, CoinGecko. The project figures come from Pyth's own blog and forum.

What Pyth reported on 2 September

Revenue

Pyth's August 2026 report says it "crossed $10.4 million in annual recurring revenue." New ARR booked in August was about $2.9 million, against about $1.7 million in July. The report calls August "Pyth's biggest commercial month yet." These are the project's own figures. They have not been independently audited.

The report's other figures for August:

  • Pyth Indices: $1.59 million in fixed ARR, excluding variable revenue share. The report also mentions $1.5 million for Indices in another place, so the two figures in the report don't match.
  • Data publishers: more than 138 institutions contribute first-party data.
  • Pyth Pro: 2,397 free trials completed between 1 and 31 August.
  • Pyth Terminal: 90,850 visitors and 445,382 page views.

Twelve new 24/7 indices

Also on 2 September, Pyth said "twelve new Pyth Indices go live this week." The batch has eight indices for single US stocks, including Amazon (AMZN), Meta (META), Palantir (PLTR) and Oracle (ORCL). It also adds Samsung, a company listed in Korea, and three ETF-based indices: EWY, SOXL and SOXS. Pyth describes each one as "built on Pyth's own price feeds and priced continuously, including the nights and weekends traditional markets are closed."

Treasury buying PYTH

A report on the Pyth DAO forum, dated 2 September 2026, says 669,661.72 PYTH were bought in August through two swaps:

  • 525,284.09 PYTH bought with USDC
  • 144,377.63 PYTH bought with SOL

The tokens went back to the Pyth DAO Treasury. The Pythian Council ops multisig received 25,701.42 USDC and 67.95 SOL for the purchases on 25 August. That was after proposal OP-PIP-129 approved using "1/3 of the Pyth DAO Treasury" for monthly PYTH purchases. At late-August prices, the amount bought is very small next to PYTH's daily trading volume.

The Pythian Council ops multisig received 25,701.42 USDC and 67.95 SOL for the purchases. This followed OP-PIP-129, which approved using 1/3 of the Pyth DAO Treasury for monthly PYTH purchases.

Apps that call Hermes directly need a Pyth API key from Pyth Terminal. Most on-chain integrations are upgraded by the DAO, and Sui apps must upgrade by hand. A later update says the legacy stack is shut down.

  4. 31 Aug 2026Week starts near its lowdone

PYTH was $0.0471 at 00:00 UTC. Its hourly low for the week was $0.04621, at 03:00 UTC that day (CoinGecko).

  5. 2 Sep 2026August report, new indices and purchase reportdone

Pyth said ARR passed $10.4 million, with about $2.9 million of new ARR in August against about $1.7 million in July. These are self-reported and unaudited. Twelve new 24/7 indices went live. A DAO forum report said 669,661.72 PYTH were bought in August.

  6. 3 Sep 2026Weekly highdone

  8. 25 Oct 2026Latest checklatest

CoinGecko showed PYTH at about $0.0708, roughly 26% above the 7 September price. Circulating supply was about 7.87 billion out of a 10 billion maximum.

This shows only the order of events. It does not show that the August report or the purchases caused the price move, and it does not cover future unlocks or later prices.

Infrastructure change that took effect on 26 August

Pyth's developer forum set the cutover for the upgraded Pyth Core stack for 26 August 2026, 16:00 UTC. The date had already been moved from 31 July and then from 18 August. Here is what the notice tells developers who use Pyth price feeds:

  • Hermes users: applications that call Hermes directly need a Pyth API key. Keys are issued through Pyth Terminal.
  • Most on-chain integrations: the DAO upgrades the contracts automatically.
  • Sui applications: they must upgrade by hand, because they reference the Pyth package by object ID.

A later update on the same thread says the legacy stack has been shut down and that "Pyth Core has been replaced by Pyth Pro." If your project still points at old endpoints, check the migration guide.

Since then

On 25 October 2026, CoinGecko showed PYTH at about $0.0708, roughly 26% above the 7 September price. CoinGecko also lists a circulating supply of about 7.87 billion out of a maximum of 10 billion. Unlocks of the remaining supply can affect the price, so check the current vesting schedule before relying on supply figures.

Limitations: all price data is from a single aggregator (CoinGecko), and Pyth's revenue figures are self-reported and unaudited.
