Sui said on Oct. 8 that Samsung Wallet is [integrating USDC on Sui](https://www.sui.io/blog/samsung-collaborates-with-sui-to-bring-usdc-to-samsung-wallet-on-82-million-u-s-galaxy-devices?ref=zipmex.com) for eligible U.S. Galaxy users. Samsung Wallet is a mobile wallet where users could hold and send the stablecoin. The plan starts with eligible Galaxy devices in the United States. USDC is the only asset supported at launch. SUI is not supported in Samsung Wallet. Gasless transfers let users send USDC on Sui without paying a network fee or holding SUI for gas.

**Key facts, per Sui**

- **Device users:** The integration would give 82 million U.S. Galaxy device users a way to hold and send USDC.
- **Initial rollout:** Eligible U.S. Galaxy devices first; other markets later.
- **Launch asset:** USDC only. SUI is not supported in Samsung Wallet.
- **Transfer condition:** Gasless USDC transfers on Sui require no network fee or SUI balance for gas.
- **Network-level cost:** $0.00.

## Who fits the rollout?

Sui ties 82 million U.S. Galaxy device users to the integration’s promise of holding and sending USDC. The initial rollout is for eligible Galaxy devices in the United States. A device-user count and an eligibility condition answer different questions. Having a Galaxy device alone does not establish that it qualifies. The service is planned to expand to other markets later. Initial access depends on location and eligibility, not the device count by itself.

Sui’s stated scope turns on location, device eligibility and asset. The fee terms concern sending USDC on Sui. Apply those conditions to a specific case:

**Outside the initial market**

The announced rollout starts on eligible U.S. Galaxy devices. Sui plans later expansion to additional markets.

**Outside the stated device condition**

This device does not meet the stated eligibility condition for the announced rollout.

**Eligibility is unresolved**

The rollout is for eligible Galaxy devices. These terms do not establish whether a particular device qualifies.

**Asset not supported at launch**

USDC is the only asset supported in Samsung Wallet at launch. SUI is not supported there.

**Matches the stated conditions**

This case fits the stated location, eligibility and launch-asset conditions. For USDC on Sui, the stated network fee is $0.00, and SUI is not needed for gas.

This reflects Sui’s plan and cannot verify device eligibility, current access or charges beyond the network-level fee.

## The numbers measure different things

Sui reports more than $1 trillion in stablecoin transfer volume on its network since August 2025\. That measure is transfer volume, not a count of wallets. The 82 million figure refers to U.S. Galaxy device users tied to the integration. It describes possible wallet access, not network activity. Neither the 82 million users nor the more than $1 trillion in volume counts confirmed Samsung Wallet users.

## Wallet support and network fees

Sui’s launch terms separate wallet support from network fees. Samsung Wallet would support USDC alone at launch. SUI would not be supported in that wallet. Gasless transfers address another question: what a sender needs to move USDC on Sui. The stated arrangement requires no network fee and no SUI balance for gas. The network-level cost is $0.00\. SUI’s absence from the wallet does not conflict with the gasless claim. A gasless USDC transfer needs no SUI for gas.

## Earlier network milestones

Sui dates the network launch: [native USDC went live on Sui in 2024](https://www.sui.io/blog/samsung-collaborates-with-sui-to-bring-usdc-to-samsung-wallet-on-82-million-u-s-galaxy-devices?ref=zipmex.com). Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol integration followed. Gasless stablecoin transfers went live on Mainnet in May 2026\. [USDC appears in the supported-stablecoin list](https://www.sui.io/blog/sui-launches-gasless-stablecoin-transfers?ref=zipmex.com) for that feature. Those dates place the network asset and fee feature ahead of the wallet integration. A network asset can exist before a particular wallet adds access to it. The Samsung Wallet step concerns holding and sending USDC through that wallet.

## Analysis: Access, assets and fees

Access, wallet support and transfer mechanics answer separate questions. A person may fit the announced U.S. and eligible-device conditions. The wallet’s launch rule still limits support to USDC. The gasless claim concerns sending supported USDC on Sui. It explains how SUI can be unsupported in the wallet. A USDC transfer on Sui can still avoid a SUI balance for gas. The reported transfer volume and device-user figure also measure different things. The former is network activity. The latter concerns possible access. Neither is a count of confirmed Samsung Wallet users.

## Limitations

The rollout and fee terms are Sui’s statements, not independent findings. Sui gives no eligibility list by Galaxy model. It gives no date for other markets. The $0.00 figure covers only the network-level cost.

## Where to follow the rollout

Sui’s [integration announcement](https://www.sui.io/blog/samsung-collaborates-with-sui-to-bring-usdc-to-samsung-wallet-on-82-million-u-s-galaxy-devices?ref=zipmex.com) is the primary reference for its rollout scope, launch asset and gasless-transfer terms. It gives no model-by-model eligibility list and no date for expansion beyond the U.S. Watch for updates from Sui or Samsung that name eligible Galaxy models or set a date for other markets.
