Perpetual Futures
Zipmex perps run on the Orderly Network — a shared central-limit order book, so you trade against deep, cross-venue liquidity rather than a thin in-house book.
Markets
137 markets at the time of writing, and the list updates automatically as new ones launch:
- Crypto majors — BTC, ETH, SOL, and 100+ altcoins
- Tokenized stocks and indices — NVDA, TSLA, AAPL, MSFT, SPX500, NAS100, QQQ and more (the TradFi tab)
- Commodities and FX — gold (XAU), silver (XAG), natural gas, EURUSD, USDJPY
- Pre-launch markets — occasionally, perps on tokens that have not launched yet, marked pre-TGE
Leverage limits are set per market and shown next to each ticker — up to 100x on the most liquid markets (SOL), lower on smaller ones.
Collateral
The default settlement asset is USDC, deposited into your own trading account on Orderly's audited vault infrastructure. You can also post SOL or USDT as collateral without selling into USDC first — the margin system values them with a small haircut.
Depositing and withdrawing are on-chain transactions you sign from your own wallet. Withdrawals go back to the same wallet.
Order types
Limit, market, post-only, IOC, FOK, reduce-only, and hidden orders, plus attached take-profit / stop-loss on positions. The order form shows exactly what each toggle does before you submit.
Funding
Perpetuals track the spot price through funding payments between longs and shorts. On Zipmex, funding settles every 8 hours on most markets, 4 hours on some — the exact period, the current estimated rate, and a countdown to the next settlement are displayed on every market page.
A positive rate means longs pay shorts; a negative rate means shorts pay longs. Funding can be a meaningful cost (or income) if you hold positions across settlements.
Margin and liquidation
Positions are margined cross by default; leverage per position is adjustable in the order form. If margin ratio falls below maintenance requirements, the position is liquidated by the protocol. Monitor the risk indicator shown next to your positions — liquidation is automatic and cannot be reversed.
Fees
Trading fees are charged per filled order and depend on your fee tier. Your current maker and taker rates are always visible under Perps → Portfolio → Fee tier — check there rather than relying on any figure quoted outside the app.
Portfolio
Positions, open orders, balances, transaction history, and API keys for programmatic trading all live under Perps → Portfolio.
Leveraged trading can result in losses exceeding your initial margin being liquidated in volatile conditions. Never trade with funds you cannot afford to lose.
