Charity with Crypto, Zipmex Donates Rp 148 Milion for Cyclone Seroja East Nusa Tenggara’s Survivors

Tropical cyclone of Seroja in East Flores, East Nusa Tenggara is already a month ago. But, the wounds felt by people of NTT still haven’t healed. The material and moral losses felt by the local community have not completely disappeared.
To help our people in East Nusa Tenggara which affect by cyclone seroja, Zipmex Indonesia conduct a fundraising in a program entitled #ZMTuntukNTT. #ZMTuntukNTT is a part of Zipmex for Indonesia campaign, a movement visioned to help people in Indonesia who are affected by disaster.
The fundraising was held on April 26th-30th, 2021. In this fundraising, Zipmex Indonesia invites its users to set a little part of their profit aside and donate in the form of ZMT for NTT. In this fundraising event, Zipmex collected 2.608 ZMT from 168 users, which equaled Rp 148.656.000.
This fund converted into rupiah at the rate Rp 57 thousand per token. This rate is based on sell price of ZMT on April 30th, 2021 at 09.00 PM (UTC+07.00 Western Indonesia Time). #ZMTuntukNTT collected funds fully distributed to Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI), a humanity foundation based in Jakarta.
Yoga Sades Sugeharto, Country Head of Zipmex Indonesia, feels really thankful for all of the users who want to participate in this event. He hopes this will help people of NTT to be healed.
“We’re really glad seeing our users want to take part in this event. Our users even want to set aside their profit in the middle of a pandemic era which is full of uncertainty. We hope, all of donation from #ZMTuntukNTT program will lighten the burden and the effect of cyclone seroja will be ended soon,” said Yoga (3/5).
#ZMTuntukNTT donation is warmly welcomed by Wahana Visi Indonesia (WVI). Through this fund, Beatrice Mertadiwangsa, National Resources Development Director Wahana Visi Indonesia hopes there will be more children and people get help in the middle of difficult times like this.
“Donation from Zipmex will be distributed in the form of cash which will be used for survivors to fulfill their basic and daily needs while trying to recover their livelihood economically,” she explained.
Tropical cyclone of seroja is a natural phenomenon which originated from tropical cyclone 99S. This natural disaster surged East Nusa Tenggara on Sunday (April 4th, 2021) and devastated at least 10 districts and 1 city.
Based on the National Disaster Management Agency (red: BNPB), 66 thousand houses were badly damaged and 12.334 people were forced to flee. The National Disaster Management Agency also noted that this disaster affected 181 people lost their lives, 48 people were missing, and 258 others injured.
