How much is the tax fee on crypto transactions?

Zipmex charges value-added tax and withholding tax on crypto transactions for its users in Indonesia. The taxation is in accordance with Minister of Finance Regulation Number 68/PMK.03/2022 and is applicable to all crypto trading activities in Indonesia.

The taxation applies to all buy and sell transactions in both IDR or USDT pairings. The amount of tax that will be imposed on your crypto assets transactions are as follows:

• 0.11% Value Added Tax (VAT) from transaction amount will be applied on purchases of crypto assets in IDR pairing
• 0.10% Withholding Tax (WHT) from transaction amount will be applied on sales of crypto assets in IDR pairing
• 0.11% VAT + 0.1% WHT from transaction amount will be applied on sales and purchases of crypto assets in USDT pairing

Please note that there is no action needed to be taken by customers. 

The taxation will be automatically implemented to each transaction made by customers in Indonesia. Any tax incurred on your transactions will be collected, reported, and submitted to the Ministry of Finance’s Directorate General of Tax by Zipmex Indonesia.
