You can no longer earn Gradient points by running a browser extension. Gradient's documentation says the Sentry Node Open Beta ended at 12:00 UTC on 28 August 2025, and "Sentry Nodes no longer earn new Uptime or Taps rewards." As of 25 October 2026, Gradient has not announced a token, a token generation event (TGE), an airdrop allocation, a claim page or a contract address. A guide by Boxmining, last updated on 13 August 2026, reports the same. Treat any site that asks you to "claim" Gradient tokens as a likely scam.
Where things stand
The Sentry Node program is over
Gradient ran its points program through a Chrome extension called a Sentry Node. The extension collected connectivity data from users' devices. Gradient's documentation lists two seasons:
- Season 0: 12 September 2024 to 14 April 2025.
- Season 1: started 15 April 2025 and ended at 12:00 UTC on 28 August 2025. That date is also the end of the Sentry Node Open Beta.
The docs now mark the Sentry Node pages "Concluded" and keep them "for reference only." They also say points "are non-fungible across seasons." Gradient has not published any rate for converting points into a token.
According to Boxmining, Gradient says the connectivity work from the Sentry Node phase turned into Lattica, its peer-to-peer data layer.
What the old points were based on
These rules no longer earn anything. They are listed here only so you can understand an old dashboard balance. Gradient's referral page described:
- 20 points to both people once a referred user reached 72 hours of uptime.
- 10% of the Uptime and Tap rewards earned by people you referred directly.
- A further 5% from people referred by your direct referrals.
No token or TGE date
Solana Compass's project profile says Gradient first pointed to a TGE in Q4 2025 through community channels, and that did not happen. The profile also says Gradient had published no tokenomics as of mid-2026. Neither Gradient's docs nor its FAQ mention a token, an airdrop or a conversion of points.
Is there anything left to take part in?
Gradient lists three current options. None of them is officially tied to a reward or a future token.
- Edge Host Pilot Program. Invite-only. It is open to data centres with "idle or underutilized bandwidth or GPU resources" and to individuals with powerful, high-availability hardware. You apply through a form linked in the docs, and Gradient contacts the people it selects. The docs do not mention rewards.
- Gradient Chatbot (chat.gradient.network). A chatbot that runs on Parallax, Gradient's distributed inference engine.
- Gradient Explorer (explorer.gradient.network). Shows network statistics and a demo of Lattica.
Solana Compass says worker nodes in the Edge Host program can earn Proof of Connectivity and Proof of Work rewards, scored by network, hardware and consistency. Gradient's public Edge Host page does not describe these rewards.

What Gradient actually builds
Gradient calls its product set the Open Intelligence Stack. It has three released parts:
- Lattica: a peer-to-peer protocol for moving data, such as model weights, between devices.
- Parallax: a decentralised inference engine. It links nodes with different hardware into one cluster for running models. The code is on GitHub under the Apache-2.0 licence. The repository says version 0.0.1 came out in October 2025.
- Echo: a distributed reinforcement-learning framework. Inference runs on distributed devices through Parallax, and training runs on high-performance clusters.
Echo-2 (February 2026)
Gradient released Echo-2 in February 2026. ChainCatcher reported the release on 12 February 2026, quoting Gradient as saying the post-training cost of a 30B-parameter model fell from $4,500 to $425. Gradient's LinkedIn page puts the starting figure at about $4,490. Both numbers are Gradient's own benchmark claims. The arXiv paper on ECHO-2 (2602.02192, first submitted 2 February 2026) tests only 4B and 8B models. At matched AIME accuracy it reports a 33.3–36.3% reduction in cumulative cost. Gradient also announced Logits, a reinforcement-learning-as-a-service platform built on Echo-2. In February 2026 it was open for reservations, not live.
Funding
TokenPost reported on 19 June 2025 that Gradient raised a $10 million seed round from Pantera Capital, Multicoin Capital and HSG (formerly Sequoia Capital China). Solana Compass names Yuan Gao and Eric Yang as co-founders, and says the Sentry Node beta reached more than 1.6 million nodes in over 190 countries.
How to avoid Gradient scams
Gradient's FAQ warns about phishing emails that pretend to come from the team. Some ask for donations. Others send you to third-party websites. The FAQ says: "Gradient will NEVER ask for donations or request payments via email or DMs."
Practical rules:
- Use only the official channels in Gradient's docs: gradient.network, x.com/Gradient_HQ and discord.com/invite/gradientnetwork.
- No claim page has been announced. Any page that asks you to connect a wallet and "claim" Gradient tokens is not from Gradient unless the official website or docs link to it.
- Never share a seed phrase or private key, and never sign a token approval for an unannounced claim.
- Install extensions only from links on Gradient's official site or docs.
- OpenGradient is a separate project with its own token. Do not mix the two up.
FAQ
Can I still earn Gradient points with the browser extension?
