PUMP finished the week to September 7, 2026 roughly where it started. It closed at $0.004365, down 1.9% from the August 31 close of $0.004448, according to CoinMarketCap daily data. The month had been very different: PUMP rose 81% from its August 8 close of $0.002406. The bigger change this week was off the chart. Price held while the cash flow that funds PUMP buybacks dropped by about 43%.

Where the week sits in the bigger move
The week came after a sharp late-August run. PUMP closed at $0.003849 on August 20 and $0.005227 on August 23, and it hit an intraday high of $0.005393 that day. By September 7 it was about 19% below that August 23 peak. It was about 51% below the all-time high of roughly $0.00883, set on September 14, 2025.
Revenue: the number that moved
DefiLlama tracks daily revenue for Pump, the Solana memecoin launchpad behind PUMP, and its trading products.
| Period (UTC) | Revenue |
|---|---|
| August 25–31, 2026 | $16.64 million |
| September 1–7, 2026 | $9.41 million |
Daily revenue peaked at $3.11 million on August 27. It then fell for most of the following week, down to $859,000 on September 5, and recovered to $1.48 million on September 7.
Why revenue matters for PUMP
On April 28, 2026, The Block reported that the project had burned all the PUMP it had bought back, worth about $370 million or 36% of circulating supply. The project also committed 50% of net revenue from its launchpad and trading products to buying back and burning PUMP on the open market. The buybacks run through a locked smart contract for one year. The other 50% funds growth.
So the buyback is a fixed share of revenue, and when revenue drops, buying pressure from the programme drops with it. The week to September 7 was the first full week after the August rally when that support shrank noticeably. Even so, price barely moved. One week cannot show whether the buyback keeps price steady when activity falls. It is still the comparison to track week by week: revenue against price.

Supply context
As of October 25, 2026, CoinGecko lists a maximum supply of 1 trillion PUMP and a total supply of 826.0 billion. It lists 461.1 billion as circulating. These are current figures, not September 7 values. The gap between total and maximum supply reflects the tokens burned so far.
What to watch next week
- Weekly revenue on DefiLlama: check whether it recovers towards the $16 million level of late August or stays near $9 million.
- The $0.003777 low of September 6: watch whether price stays above the week's floor.
- Daily volume against the $395.9 million of September 7: a big-volume rebound day can turn out to be a one-off.
