Ripple Swell 2026 runs from 27 to 29 October 2026 at The Shed, 545 W 30th St, Hudson Yards, New York, according to Ripple's official event site. This year is different. For the first time, Ripple has merged Swell, its annual finance conference, with XRPL Apex, the developer summit for the XRP Ledger. The result is one event with three stages. Ripple lists 1,500+ attendees, 100+ speakers and 80+ sessions. Most of the event takes paid registration. Only the institutional summit is invite-only.

Earlier figures were smaller. When Ripple opened registration on 22 April 2026, coverage at the time quoted 75+ speakers and 50+ sessions (Bitcoin.com News, 25 April 2026). The official site now shows the larger numbers above.
Tickets and access
Ripple's site lists four price tiers:
- Super Early Bird: $600 (22 April – 31 May 2026)
- Early Bird: $1,000 (1 June – 11 July 2026)
- Standard: $1,200 (12 July – 5 October 2026)
- Last Chance: $1,500 (6 – 20 October 2026)
All four sale windows have now closed. The official FAQ says passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. The Institutional Summit is invite-only, "but you may request to attend". Invitation letters, which some visitors need for travel, go only to confirmed registrants. Ripple says it processes those requests within seven business days.
How to follow it if you are not there
Neither the official site nor the FAQ mentions a livestream. The FAQ says most sessions will be recorded and released afterwards. In 2025, CoinDesk covered Swell live, according to Ripple's own recap. Ripple has not said whether it will do the same in 2026.
What the 2026 agenda covers
Ripple's site lists 17 programme themes: AI and agentic finance, capital markets and settlement, crypto infrastructure, crypto markets and ETFs, DeFi, interoperability, financial inclusion, funding and VC, payments, policy and regulation, privacy, security and compliance, stablecoins, tokenization, treasury and cash management, quantum, and XRP utility.
The Apex merger explains the developer-facing items. Apex is the global developer summit for the XRP Ledger, centred on the network's roadmap, smart contracts and tooling (Bitcoin.com News, 25 April 2026). Running both events in one venue puts builders and institutional buyers in the same building.
The official site names actor Matt Damon, co-founder of Water.org, as a speaker. Ripple has not published a full day-by-day schedule.

What Swell 2025 delivered
Swell 2025 was the ninth edition. It was a two-day event in New York (Ripple, 9 December 2025), held on 4–5 November 2025 according to pre-event coverage (Bitcoinist). The biggest news that week came in a separate press release.
$500 million at a $40 billion valuation
On 5 November 2025, Ripple announced a $500 million strategic investment at a $40 billion valuation. Funds managed by affiliates of Fortress Investment Group and Citadel Securities led the round. Pantera Capital, Galaxy Digital, Brevan Howard and Marshall Wace also took part. The same release reported:
- a $1 billion tender offer at the same valuation
- total Ripple Payments volume above $95 billion
- 75 regulatory licences
- RLUSD, Ripple's US dollar stablecoin, above $1 billion in market capitalisation less than a year after launch
- recent acquisitions including Hidden Road (now Ripple Prime), GTreasury and Rail
The themes Ripple drew from the event
Ripple's own recap, published 9 December 2025, grouped the conference into five themes:
- Production over pilots. Ripple cited named customers: Braza Bank and Zand Bank using Ripple Payments, Corpay using RLUSD in treasury operations, and DBS Bank using Ripple Custody for onchain capital-markets activity.
- Traditional and decentralised finance converging through stablecoins, tokenized real-world assets and custody.
- Institutional adoption. This included corporate treasuries and demand for XRP exchange-traded products.
- Regulation as the main unlock. Panellists pointed to Europe's MiCA and the US GENIUS Act and called for reciprocal licensing and interoperable standards.
- Ripple's acquisition strategy. Ripple reported six major acquisitions in two years. CEO Brad Garlinghouse said Ripple "aspires—and I think we are clearly in the lead—to be the blockchain infrastructure company. Period."

Does Swell move the XRP price?
There is no reliable rule. In November 2025, 24/7 Wall St. reported that XRP rose more than 12% in the 24 hours after Swell 2025. The same outlet reported that XRP ended lower between Swell and year-end in four of the previous five years. Conference news usually concerns Ripple the company, such as funding, licences, acquisitions and RLUSD. It does not automatically change demand for the XRP token.
