What Is MIR4? The Wemade MMORPG, Its DRACO Economy and What Changed in 2026

MIR4 is Wemade's free MMORPG with an optional DRACO/HYDRA token layer. 2026 status: eight classes, the WEMIX$ breach payouts, and the risks.

MIR4 is a free-to-play fantasy MMORPG made by Wemade Next and published by Wemade. It runs on PC, Mac and mobile, and it is still being updated. As of October 2026 it has eight classes, the newest of which arrived on 8 October 2026. The game has an optional blockchain layer: players mine an in-game ore called Darksteel, smelt it into the DRACO token, and can trade DRACO and the HYDRA token through Wemade's WEMIX ecosystem. That ecosystem has had two security breaches since February 2025, and its WEMIX token was dropped by South Korea's five major exchanges in June 2025. Players can earn in MIR4, but what they earn depends on token prices and on infrastructure that has failed more than once.

The latest: what changed in October 2026

  • New class, 8 October 2026. Inven Global reported on 7 October 2026 that Wemade would add a class on 8 October. Inven calls it "Spirit Master", and the official MIR4 site lists it as "Spirit Summoner". It is a wand-using ranged caster that summons water, fire and earth spirits, and Inven describes it as "a damage-dealing buffer" that strengthens allies and weakens enemies.
  • New growth server. The same day, Wemade opened Deengyongmun, a server built for fast levelling with EXP buffs, check-in events and equipment rewards tied to levels. It runs until February 2027 and then becomes a standard server. After that, characters from other servers cannot move onto it for six months.
  • WEMIX$ breach payouts, 13 October 2026. The official MIR4 community posted compensation details for the 26 July 2026 WEMIX$ incident (covered below). Liquidity providers can request loss compensation from 13 October 2026.
  • Patch of 13 October 2026. The patch added new Legendary Spirits, extended the Path of Fiery Battle to Act 7 Scene 10, and raised HP on Bicheon Castle Siege objects. For example, Castle Gate HP went from 4,500,000 to 27,000,000. The patch also added a paid mount ticket priced at $29.99 until the 27 October update and $49.99 after it.

How the game works

MIR4 combines a standard MMORPG loop with a resource economy. You quest and level, run dungeons, join a clan, and compete in clan content such as Castle Siege. The official site lists Castle Siege Eve as running 19–24 October 2026. Other modes listed on the site's 2026 timeline are an Arena (January) and a 15 vs 15 Competitive Raid (March).

Mining is the link between the game and the token layer. Darksteel is mined in zones such as Bicheon Valley. A July 2022 patch note set Bicheon Valley floor 1 at level 30 or higher.

The classes

The official site lists eight classes:

  • Warrior, Sorcerer, Taoist, Lancer: the original roster.
  • Arbalist, Darkist: added after launch.
  • Lionheart: a melee "puncher" class that uses bracers and knuckles, with a charge skill, healing and debuffs. It was added with the fourth-anniversary update in August 2025, which also reopened the Boosting World fast-growth server and merged servers.
  • Spirit Summoner (Spirit Master): the October 2026 ranged support-damage class.

Wemade publishes no class ranking, so guides that call one class "best for beginners" are giving an opinion.

MIR4 token risks and payouts, February 2025 to November 2026

If you hold DRACO, HYDRA or other WEMIX-based assets from MIR4, which breaches, delistings and payouts affect them, and when?

  1. February 2025Play Bridge hackdone

About $6.2 million in WEMIX was taken from the Play Bridge cross-chain vault. The Wemix Foundation waited four days before telling users.

  2. 2 June 2025Trading stops on South Korea's five major exchangesdone

DAXA said WEMIX did not meet the criteria for continued trading support. WEMIX fell about 62% within roughly 15 minutes of the announcement, from $0.7225 to $0.2757.

  3. 2 July 2025Withdrawals closedone

Withdrawals from the five major exchanges closed, a month after trading stopped. It was the second time WEMIX was delisted in its home market, after 2022.

  4. 26 July 2026WEMIX$ stablecoin breachdone

An attacker took owner privileges on the WEMIX$ contract and minted about 5,225,525 WEMIX$. Every bridge connected to WEMIX3.0, the affected liquidity pools and the token swap service were suspended.

  5. 21 September 2026eqWEMIX$ distribution finisheddone

WEMIX$ holders at the pre-incident snapshot received eqWEMIX$ automatically.

  6. 13 October 2026Loss requests open for liquidity providersdone

1,128 liquidity-provider addresses that held LP tokens in the block before the incident can request the difference in game tokens. Payment comes within 15 days of the request, or later if extra verification is needed.

  7. 2 NovemberDRACO Staking Program eventannounced

The official site lists a DRACO Staking Program event starting 2 November and calls it "no loss stake-to-earn".

This lists only the dated events in the article. It does not say whether your address qualifies for compensation, what your tokens are worth, or whether the bridges have reopened.

How earning works: Darksteel, DRACO, HYDRA

The basic chain, as described in patch notes and third-party guides:

  1. Mine Darksteel in the game.
  2. Smelt Darksteel into DRACO. Guides put this at level 40. A November 2021 patch note restricted smelting or exchanging DRACO for characters holding less than 500k Darksteel. One German estimate from that period put the cost at 100,000 Darksteel plus a fee per DRACO. These are 2021–2022 figures, and rates have changed since.
  3. HYDRA. A September 2022 patch added a HYDRA exchange at a 1:10 rate to Dragonsteel. It required level 40 and a linked WEMIX Wallet.
  4. On-chain trading. DRACO and HYDRA pair with other tokens in liquidity pools on Wemade's WEMIX PLAY platform. The October 2026 notice confirms that the pHYDRA/pDRACO migration to mainnet is complete.
  5. Character NFTs. The official site promotes MIR4 character NFTs listed on XDRACO, Wemade's marketplace for MIR4 items and characters.

The official site also lists a DRACO Staking Program (DSP) event starting 2 November, which it calls "no loss stake-to-earn", and an "EXDRA4 Token" released in July 2026.

The risk record of the WEMIX ecosystem

These events affect anyone holding DRACO, HYDRA or WEMIX-based assets earned in MIR4.

  • February 2025, Play Bridge hack. About $6.2 million in WEMIX was taken from the Play Bridge cross-chain vault. The Wemix Foundation waited four days before telling users, saying it wanted to "prevent market panic" (The Block, 2 May 2025).
  • May–June 2025, second delisting in South Korea. The Digital Asset Exchange Association (DAXA) said WEMIX "does not meet the criteria for maintaining transaction support". The five major exchanges stopped trading it on 2 June 2025, and withdrawals closed on 2 July 2025. WEMIX fell about 62% within roughly 15 minutes of the announcement, from $0.7225 to $0.2757 (The Block). WEMIX had also been delisted in 2022 over circulating-supply concerns.
  • 26 July 2026, WEMIX$ breach. An attacker took owner privileges on the WEMIX$ stablecoin contract and minted about 5,225,525 WEMIX$. They converted it into 30,736 WEMIX and 724,198.27 USDC.e. WEMIX suspended every bridge connected to WEMIX3.0, including Chainlink CCIP and the PLAY Bridge, along with the affected liquidity pools and the platform's token swap service (crypto.news, 27 July 2026).
  • Compensation (official MIR4 notice, 13 October 2026).

- WEMIX$ holders at the pre-incident snapshot received eqWEMIX$ automatically. Distribution finished on 21 September 2026. - 1,128 liquidity-provider addresses that held LP tokens in the block before the incident are eligible for the difference in game tokens, paid in mainnet DRACO and HYDRA where those pools are involved. - 41 addresses that sold PLAY Token on a decentralised exchange received 3,155 PLAY Token. - Liquidity-provider loss requests open on 13 October 2026, with payment within 15 days of the request, or later if extra verification is needed.

Pay-to-win: what the patch notes show

MIR4 sells items for real money. The 13 October 2026 patch alone lists a $29.99 mount ticket, a limited Legendary Spirit summon and a skill tome summon event. Players often complain that these purchases give spenders an edge in Castle Siege.

Is MIR4 worth playing in 2026?

The game is still active. It has regular patches, a new class in October 2026, a new growth server and a fifth-anniversary update in August 2026. Steam reviews are mixed overall (67% positive), while recent reviews are rated "Mostly Positive" (72% of 29).

If you want a free MMORPG, MIR4 is still supported. If you are mainly interested in earning, three things matter more than the gameplay:

  • The rates and limits for converting Darksteel to DRACO have changed since launch, and the published figures are from 2021–2022.
  • The token infrastructure was hacked in February 2025 and again in July 2026, and bridges were suspended after the second breach.
  • WEMIX has been delisted twice in its home market.

Time spent mining has no guaranteed value.
